Our gift shop is looking like a winter wonderland these days! While we typically share food trends, recipes and other culinary delights on our blog, we decided the holiday season was a great time to give you a window-shopping experience of our gift shop, which is currently filled to the brim with holiday items.
Rather than the traditional red and green palette, our Visual Merchandiser & Event Stylist Ricky Carroll opted for elegant platinum & champagne tones, a trend that emerged last year and gained momentum this year as the new metallic. Why? It is beautiful mixed with other metallics, especially silver and gold. Ricky calls it the “chameleon metallic” because it seems to change and adapt its color to compliment whatever you pair with it. This versatile color scheme works in any home, either as a refined, monochromatic hint of shimmer or a chic contrast of sparkle blended with your existing holiday decor.
A few favorite items available include a platinum glitter star tree topper ($16), a poured candle in a silver mercury lidded ornament ($16), snow-capped wooden churches ($45-$55) and an exquisitely embellished glass nutcracker ornament ($22). If you need a grand, dazzling focal point, we have this set of oversized, platinum glitter, onion-shaped wire ornaments in three graduating sizes ($42-$62), which can be filled with other ornaments or ribbon for elevated sparkle. Their scale makes them the perfect vertical element to suspend over a grand Christmas tree, a Christmas dining table or in a foyer, covered entryway or screened porch for maximum holiday curb appeal.
For those that love traditional elegance, we also have a wide selection of mercury & clear glass ornaments that would look stunning on the backdrop of either a lit evergreen or flocked tree.
We also have a wide range of gift items for all ages at various price points. For kiddos, we’ve got adorable holiday plush by GUND that includes llamas, Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, Reindeer, Polar Bears and even an animated Bear that reads “The Night Before Christmas” story out of a green velvet book with a cute mouse on his shoulder. From Melissa & Doug we offer pretend sets, stick horses and stick unicorns and unique learning and activity books perfect to tuck in stockings.
In the ornament category, we have something for every taste. Our wide selection and price point range ($6-$22) will fit the bill for your annual ornament exchange or a fun package tie-in. From beautiful mercury glass to whimsical “Party Pups” to Gnomes & Ugly Sweaters, we think you will enjoy the hunt. There’s even a pontoon boat and a green tractor (yes we did!). For the naturalist, there’s a layered pinecone made from recycled cardboard; for the traditionalist, the ever popular glass Santa head. And what would Music City be without some musical ornaments? We chose a bass drum, snare drum & two guitars this year. But hurry, our ornaments sell out fast!
